Design is a big part of who I am, but it's certainly not the only thing.
I'm a big music lover and love going to concerts. There's something about live music—the energy, emotion, movement, and connection between performers and an audience—that I find inspiring. Music also plays a big role in my creative work, especially when I'm making videos. I love finding the right music and watching how rhythm, timing, and emotion can completely change the way a story feels.
I also love visiting art museums. I enjoy seeing how other artists think, experiment, tell stories, and see the world. I'm always interested in discovering something that sparks an idea or makes me look at something differently.
I love to bake cookies. While I was working at University Recreation, I started baking cookies for students for holidays and birthdays. It became one of those small things that brought people together and made them feel remembered. I think that's something I've always valued—finding little ways to make people feel welcome and appreciated.
At home, I have two cockatiels named Khallie and Brucie who keep me entertained, and I now take care of my mother's dog. Frosty. My pets bring a lot of personality, companionship, and joy to everyday life.
I also collect Barbie dolls, which is probably no surprise for someone who loves design, fashion, color, photography, and visual storytelling. I enjoy the creativity and nostalgia behind the collection—and, honestly, they're just fun.
Maybe that's part of why I enjoy creative work so much. I'm drawn to things that make people feel something—music, art, photography, stories, a beautifully designed piece, a shared experience, or even a homemade cookie.
For me, creativity isn't just about making something look good. It's about making a connection.
