Identity for the 30th anniversary of the Student Recreartion Center Building. T-shirts for our student employees to wear and a banner were made to celebrate the year.

The original logo was already created when I started at SRC so I worked with it and applied it to the campaign materials but had more freedom with the t-shirts.
After a few years of using this logo, it became very rigid and limiting on creativity. I consulted with the committee about giving the shirt a fresh look.

There was more creative freedom for the T-shirt designs. The turkey became a fun character
every year and the community embraced him.

During COVID, we made the Turkey Trot a virtual run so participants could run, turn in their time to receive a t-shirt and medal. We made it fun asking them to send in photos showing off their swag and we received so many photos. It really felt like we were a community even though we were all separated. COVID times were different, but we still had a successful Turkey Trot with 361 people from 16 states participating.

There was more creative freedom for the T-shirt designs. The turkey became a fun character every year and the community embraced him. We had 725 participants for the 2021 event.

In 2024, WMU branding changed and our turkey was a big hit the last five years. It was the right time to update the background with a new logo. The committee decided to update the logo so it would match the character on the shirts. We had 797 participants.
